2018 Hall of Fame Awards

Hernö was the big winner on a night of celebration at the Honourable Artillery Company in London, as Gin Magazine hosted its inaugural awards dinner for the gathered trade.

Swedish producer Hernö took home the coveted title of World’s Best Gin for the second year running, for its Old Tom in the World Gin Awards, while it also picked up Producer of the year in the Icons of Gin awards.

Lesley Gracie from William Grant & Sons’ brand Hendrick’s won Distiller of the year, while Brazilians Amázzoni Gin provided triumphant in the hotly contested Craft Producer of the year category.

The evening concluded with Gin Magazine publisher Damian Riley-Smith announcing Charles Maxwell as the first inductee to the Gin Magazine Hall of Fame.

The Icons of Gin Awards invite the industry to nominate the best companies, retailers and figures from the gin world.

Gin Magazine’s editor Sam Coyne said, “It has been an absolute pleasure to reward those individuals, products and companies from the gin industry who have taken this spirit from strength to strength. I would like to thank our sponsors and our hosts for the night, the Honourable Artillery Company for helping us make this happen. We look forward to seeing who will triumph in our awards in the years to come.”
