In the new Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ultra bottle, lightness is beauty. And sustainability.
The renowned Scottish whisky maker has launched the world's lightest 70cl whisky bottle, after five years of research, to create a bottle in line with the new luxury paradigm, focused on lightness and delicacy. An exceptional bottle – in a limited edition of 888 units – required a special cork, and for this, Amorim Top Series developed a lightweight capsulated cork stopper using innovative techniques and less raw material.
The bottle design – hand-blown glass in a teardrop shape, very different from the iconic square shape of Johnnie Walker – developed by Diageo, was created to reduce the carbon footprint while maintaining all of its elegance.
Pushing boundaries and challenging conventions, this is one of the various projects in the luxury segment that Amorim Top Series is developing in collaboration with Diageo.
